পরীক্ষা হল একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে একজন ব্যক্তি কতটা পুঙ্খানুপুঙ্খভাবে এবং প্রাসঙ্গিকভাবে ধারণাগুলি বোঝে তা নির্ধারণ করার একটি উপায়।জ্ঞানকে বাস্তবে প্রয়োগ করার এক উপায়। অনেক শিক্ষার্থী পরীক্ষা দেয় বলে পড়াশোনা করে| শিক্ষার্থীরা পরীক্ষার মাধ্যমে তাদের জ্ঞান বুঝতে পারে। এটি শিক্ষার্থীদের দক্ষতা মূল্যায়ন করে এবং শেষ পর্যন্ত তাদের নার্ভাসনেস কাটিয়ে উঠতে দেয়। এটি জ্ঞান পরিমাপের একটি কার্যকর উপায় এবং তারা কতটা শিখেছে তা অনুমান করতেও সাহায্য করে। এটি শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে আত্মবিশ্বাস এবং ব্যক্তিত্ব গড়ে তুলতে সাহায্য করে।
